<font color="#000000"><div class="quote"><p align="center"><font color="#0000ff" size="4"><font face="黑体" color="#ff0000" size="6">醇和简静　高标风神</font><br/></font><font color="#0000ff" size="4"><font face="楷体_GB2312" size="5"></font></font></p><p align="center"><font color="#0000ff" size="4"><font face="楷体_GB2312" size="5">----向爱东书法说略<br/></font></font></p><p align="center"><font color="#0000ff" size="4">■周德聪</font></p><p align="left"><font color="#0000ff" size="4">　　我与爱东相识距今已十年有余，那时他在宜昌财贸干校读书，我在宜昌师专执教。也许是因为我在大学执教书法的原因，他几乎每周末都　一大捆临作奔我之寒舍，要我“指点”一二，职业使我面对“作业”喜欢说东道西，爱东也乐于如此，于是在他宜昌求学的几年，就这样愉快的度过。每每看到他日课的迅猛精进，打心眼里为之高兴，因而我十分乐于与之交往。十余载无论是书翰往返，还是灯下共话，总离不开“书法情结”。<br/>　　他和许多年青人一样，成长于书法热中，八十年代中后期，其楷书即主攻《张猛龙》，兼涉《郑文公》《爨龙颜》等，在北碑中汲收古拙醇厚的韵味，其用笔方圆兼施，即不失形，亦得其神。当其间架立定，他转而习二王行草，笔致婉畅灵动、气息颇得晋人。我以为在碑帖两大系列里，爱东的天性及其审美趋向更接近于二王一路，于是他浸淫于二王传世墨迹、《十七帖》、乃至阁帖大观帖中二王书札一系，并下窥东坡、米芾、王铎、傅山，为使书作增添雄逸之趣，亦曾在徐渭的书作中探得消息，因而他的作品蕴含着很深的传统，且不乏自家性情，其萧散之逸韵、爽朗之风神，从字里行间汩汩流出，可谓一片化机。<br/>　　在当代青年书家群中，爱东是勤于笔耕勤于读书的一位，他在临摹上所下的功夫，恐常人莫及。他静得下、沉得住，从无虚浮心态，也不趋赶时髦，工作之余的所有时间，都沉潜在书斋里，耽玩于笔墨中，每有临作与创作，常三五书友，互相切磋，因其精诚与谦逊，故无论师长与同道，都愿意与他谈书论道，交流中的相互启迪，彻悟后的达于默契，都能在他的创作里得到反映。国中每有高层次的展览，他亦常去观看，无论是北京、郑州，还是上海、杭州，只要抽得出空，他就非去不可，读书、临帖、创作、观展成为他工作之余的生活之链。１９９３年，他的书作入选中国书协主办的第二届新人展，之后，每年都是佳作叠出，９４年其书作荣获国际书法大展铜奖，９５年入选六届全国展，六届中青展、首届楹联展，是湖北省唯一的一年之内入选三大展者，同年又获湖北省第三届书展奖（未设等级），９６年入选首届行草书大展、首届扇面书法展，９７年入展全国七届中青展，获湖北省第四届书展一等奖及神内杯金奖等。这一连串矫人成就的背后，其酸甜苦辣、孜孜追求的况味，爱东深知，书道中人料可感爱吧！<br/>　　尽管他在书法上取得了同龄人难以达到的成就，但他从不自矜，面对传统，总以为自己不足。９８年春节期间，爱东又抱来一大撂临作与创作到我的寒舍，仍然是那样的虔诚与谦恭，老实说，我看后直觉得英气逼人，其笔法之稳健，结字之宕逸，章法之完美，风格之醇和，大有超迈时风之慨。爱东刚届而立之年，我坚信，以他敏捷的艺术思维，不辍的临池毅力，纯正的创作心态，一定会在不远的将来，给书坛同仁一个惊喜。</font></p></div></font><font color="#f70909" size="4">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; １９９８年４月１８日草于首都师大书法研究所</font>
